How much money does a filipino need to show the us government that they have enough? it's only a short visit..not much money needed.

an affidavit of support is needed for one who applies for an immigrant visa. the person inviting must show proof of employment and income in the affidavit. no specific amount but enough to sustain the visit or stay of the visitor.

She might want to need to be able to purchase her own airline fee ticket. the major question the embassy tries to ascertain is will she go back to the Philippines. If issues might want to be more desirable helpful for her in united statesa. than in the Philippines then she would not be anticipated to go back. i comprehend in my opinion of a woman that had $6000.00 in the business company, owned a house, and managed a farm. She tried to get a visa to visit her sister in united statesa., who became having slightly one. The visa became denied!!

No. INS states that you must have a direct relationship and even then, they make you jump trough hoops.Also, INS doesn't want you to pay for them to live here. They want to know that they can support themselves. You can sponsor someone (a family member) that in the event that they loose their job, fall ill, etc, you will assume their debt. My husband is from the UK and it was awful trying to get him and his dad here...and that was before 9/11. Since then, we have tried to bring his brother over and we've been turned down twice for petty things. Its not easy to immigrate anymore. So much for the engraving on the statue of liberty, "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
