It doesn't play anything. No iTunes, no Google video, no Windows Media Player. It acts like it is going to play but, it never does. This just happened today on a 3 year old computer. 10 points for the best answer. HELP!

You probably got a virus or a spyware...but it could be more serious some hardware or software might be corrupt. First find a good spyware and virus remover, I like spyware sweeper, but there are many out there. If the problem persists either get someone to fix it or get a new one if you have the money i would suggest the latter. I find it is good to buy a new one ever so often cause they either break or are obsolete...good luck

Did you install some video player right before this? Right click and "Open With" the player that you know is working

there must be a problem with your codex. try downloading a divX player or a codex from the Internet and if that doesn't work try to use System restore and restore your PC to a earlier date when the media player was working.

Did you change your cookie setting? If you did and it's set too high all the media stuff won't work, try setting your cookie browser lower.

if it dosnt play music, then dude, u need a sound card, if no video, u need a better videocard too. Hope it works out, Jason bourne...

on video cards, choose RADEON!

Whats your comp specs, it might be spyware or virus.
