The sink and vanity are all one piece, with a 4 inch backsplash. I put tile on the floor a couple of years ago, so buying a whole new unit is out due to the fact that the size has to be exact. And finding a vanity top the right size is impossible. I know there is a way to paint it.

As "Elizabeth" answered, Krylon (a paint manufacturer) makes paint specifically for adhering to plastic. It comes in a WIDE variety of colors, typically, in a spray can. Lowes, Home Depot, Ace Hardware... practically anyone who carries the Krylon paints will have this product also.

Clean the surface thoroughly! Since you are painting the vanity in place... you want to cover everything you don't want paint on, lol. I find that putting a layer of painters tape around the edges helps. Fold one end under, to make it easier to remove it later. Then tape some plastic to the painters tape, for greater coverage (like over the mirror, or on the wall). Put drop cloth, or plastic over everything else, and make sure you have good ventilation.

Have Fun!

Might be cheaper to just buy another one in the color you want. It is real hard to get the paint to stick to the plastic and it is even harder to get it clean enough to hold the paint.

Because the surface takes alot of shock, paint will need to be touched up. Other than that consideration, there are several products available for you to use.
