Well, I don't talk to any of my childhood friends anymore cause I moved at 15, and I dropped out of college before I really got to know anyone, I'm only 24, so I don't have any 'later life' friends yet, but my best friend from High School, is still my best friend, and has been for 10 years. I'm gonna say High School.... that's my final answer.

Later life in my opinion. I believe it's because you've out grown all the small stuff that you may have had when you were younger. Now you can not only enjoy being who you are, but also enjoy who your friends are. You may out grow your childhood and high school friends and if you don't go to college then what? Later life friends you can have if you just live life.

I think childhood friends last the longest. I am still best friends with my childhood friend, I am 24 now and I have known her since I was 6. Even though we live really far apart we still keep in touch.

I think childhood friends last the longest. I have had a friend for over 40 years now. She is my friend that I can talk with when I am happy or sad.

College. We grow out of out childhood friends through middle and elementary school. We go off and find ourselves in college and steadily lose touch with our high school friends. But the college friends are the ones who were with us when we had all of our experiments and all of our big "firsts." That creates a bond that erases all the months of neglected phone calls or e-mails with a single, "Hey."

For me, it's about evenly split between childhood, college, and later life. I do have friends that I went to high school with, but they are friends who I knew long before high school.

For me it has been both my friends from High School and from Graduate School. I think that in general those are my two groups of really good, really long-lasting friends.
