I have a geforce 6600 video card with s-video out, and I connected it to my t.v. a zenith 32" with a s-video in. so I have time warner t.v. cable box. I have to turn it off at the box, and use the t.v. menu to sorce and set the option to s-video 1 to view the computer on screen. The problem is that I got the desk top to view
on my t.v., after the picture rolled up and down for a whail, and the picture was not very clear. and the thing is I used a s-video
and red and white rc plug in one cable, I also pluged the red rc plug into my sound card to try and get sound and al I got was a
load humming sound so I just shut off the pc by pressing and holding the start button. then went to reconnect the pc to the lcd
monitor fired it up and not a darn thing!,no video. will not boot up
to windows. I tried to use a boot-up cd, after I reset the cmos dos
to reset my boot-up order. ms-dos prompt comes up but all of
the commands that I inter dont work. I NEED HELP!!.

Maybe you an swap out the video card for another known good one.

Did you even enable the S-Video output as second monitor in Windows XP Display Properties?
