how much do movie critics get paid?

Ummm...I read somewhere that freelance critics get paid less than $1 a word, some are paid per review, it really depends on a) the film they are reviewing, b) what studio financed that film and c) how "prestiged" that critic is (i.e. is it Roger Ebert reviewing or some newbie?).

I don't know, but I'd sure like to be one! Sitting around and watching movies and getting paid for it, what a sweet job! :)
