I'm 38 and I've never had this before, is it normal?Nothing else is different.

well im a nurse so this is what im going to have you do contact your gyno or doctor then keep clean until you go in it is ok you wont die iits probably really chunky thats why dont panic you will be ok try not to use tampons it might be an infection go out buy pads and use them until your gyno/doctor says you can ok

It could be just old blood or it could have been from an infection that is now healed or maybe even a natural termination of a preg. I would see the dr. to be sure. You may need a D&C if it is something more than just old blood. You need to make sure to be totally safe. Best wishes!

The first thing I thought of was the beginning of the Beverly Hillbillies. up through the ground came a bubblin' crude..oil that is. Sorry, I have no control over these thoughts.

Black blood is usually old blood.
Have you started a new birth control? Had a miscarriage?

Dark brown blood is old blood...black doesn't sound good at all...call your doc and see if that sounds like something that should be checked out.

It is old blood.. but yes, call your doctor and have an exam.. just to give yourself peace of mind.

are you sure your not just passing dark red blod clots...it could be that ... now sometimes that looks black... but if you really are passing black liquid see your gyn pronto that doesn't sound right.
