I'm nearly 6 months pregnant and I can't feel my baby move. We've had 3 scans and he's normal size and everything looks normal and he seems to be wriggling around a lot but I just can't feel anything.

I'm not overweight or underweight, I'm about 12 stone and 6 foot tall.

I didn't get any morning sickness either. Do you think this is normal? My sister didn't feel any movement till she was 7 months but everyone else tells me that I should feel something by now?

Is this normal do you think?

Thank you
grateful for any advice or personal stories about how it was for you.

Thank you. I think 12 stone is about 165lb

I'm really tall (6 foot) so I'm quite skinny but I'm not emaciated or anything. My dr isn't worried about my weight. In the U/s little man was just 'dancing!' very active and she seemed surprised that I couldn't feel anything. I can feel a sensation like I'm hungry, as if my stomach is rumbling but not a kick. I sometimes think that my fiance is stroking my tummy in his sleep but when I open my eyes he isn't and then I wonder if the feeling is from the inside, from baby? I wish I could know for sure!

Thank you so much for the advice. I really appreciate it. Thank you!

I didn't feel my baby move strongly until about 22 weeks. It all depends on the position of your baby, the activity level of the baby and your activity level as well. I have a very active job, so alot of the butterfly flutters went unnoticed. If the Doc isn't concerned and the ultrasounds show the baby moving around, don't worry. In no time at all you will feel those little kicks.

With my first baby I felt when I was about 6 months, with my second ( which is still in the oven) I was layin in bed about 5 mons along and it felt like my entire insides were shifting it was exciting, now I am 71/2 months and it feels like she is constantly stomping on my bottom. I wouldn't be concerned about yours if the doc gets a heartbeat and measures right then I'd say everything is ok.

If it's your first it's hard to know what it feels like. For some women it feels like butterflies, and for others it feels like you have a bit of gas. If the Doc says everythings good - than it is!
I have a friend that didn't even know she was pregnant until she was 7 months! (she was a little over weight).

What in the world is 12 stone? lbs or kg please.

Well I'm 22 weeks right now. I felt my baby moving (Like butterflies) at 16 weeks. At about 21 weeks, I could REALLY feel my baby moving --- like kicking me, now he kicks me all the time! It's so amazing. I'm sure soon enough you'll feel the same thing. You will definetly know too.

I felt my baby moving around when I was 6month pregnant. If the doctor tell you everything is fine, don't worry about it, every pregnancy is different and so is every body.Just relax and when you lest expect it your baby is going to be kicking you day and night

If the doctor says that the child is healthy, then do not worry. You will feel it soon.

Bless you and your child.
