Americas declining world power status.?

Question

With China growing and expanding at an unprecedented rate, and having huge military resources especially the number of soldiers, and having another powerful country like Russia as an allie. Who thinks that China will be the next global power?

They are already near that point. We are still far superior militarily, and will continue to be as long as we spend tremendous amounts on high tech weapons. But China is becoming a global economic power, which is how we got where we are. India is another sleeping giant. nearly as big as China. # of soldiers is not that relevant, as the real power is in the air and missile capability. Frankly, America could probably field the largest able group of soldiers, because we are less reliant now than in WWII on our agricultural base, and more men and women can be pulled from paper pushing to holding rifles-not that we wouldn't eliminate any invading army quickly with our bombers and missiles.

Oh yes, and don't forget India. By 2015 the forecasts show that the United States will still be the most powerful country in the world (at least economically) with China second and India 3rd. They are even a head of the EU

It only took them 15 years to go from hunters and gatherers to an industrial power house. Once one gets the taste of capitalism, theres no stopping him. Only if a person gets paid for not working will he not work. In China right now, the harder you work, the more you earn. In the US right now, the louder you cry, the more $ you receive. In another 15 years we'll be reading books like "How America Lost Its Way", but by then it'll be too late. China is moving from socialism to capitalism, US is moving from capitalism to socialism.

I predicted this 5 years ago with China, but people thought I was crazy. I also always felt that America would lose superpower status as well, but people thought it was easier to live in denial than to ponder the thought. The Bible predicts that one of the end-times events is that a war will take place between Russia and China. Yup.

It's very possible. Look at the bottom of every thing you own it probably says made in china. we owe china so much money! also they don't like us no matter what other people say. You think they are building up such a big military because they look good in uniform? sorry that wasn't you question. Yes the united states is starting to look like a bunch of whiny babies.

It's hard to say but America is facing a lot more competition from countries like China. After WWII ended USA was the only major economy not destroyed by the war.

They are THE world power right now. They have a HUGE trade surplus with us and the rest of the world. They have little or no environmental regualtions so they can manufacture what they want and how they want. Their military is the biggest on earth and who knows what they've got for hardware we don't know about?

Sure, China will be a global power if their government doesn't screw up. Right now they are busy buying our government bonds with all of the money that we have let them squeeze out of the U.S. manufacturing sector.

The USA military will be the dominant force in the world for the rest of your lifetime. It is unstoppable with 10,000 nuclear missiles, and other advanced weaponry.
