there is no negative wires on 110. on most 110 wires black is hot white is neutral or common same thing. green is ground. now red is most commonly used in 220 it would go black hot red hot and green ground. and green being ground hooks in to the neutral bus bar. I don't want to guess but if i did i would guess blue to be neutral ..

Generally there is a diagram on the back or front of the cover that hides the connections. If there isn't one, take the motor to a local "electric motor" repair shop, and they will use the proper meters to determine which wires are what.

Where is the original wiring diagram? Check inside the cover plate.

BTW, AC does not have a positive or negative. It's a hot leg and neutral (110v) or two hot legs (208v).

Do yourself a BIG favor, hire someone who knows more than you.

Look on-line, I do it all the time. Just type in the name of the compressor and go from there. You might need the model number. Good luck

There is either a diagram with it, on it, or there should be one, and you need to get that diagram to tell you how to hook it up. You may be able to find it online if you don't have the installation manual.
