"astronomically low"

now, the probablity of meteors/asteroids and comets causing havoc on earth, over time, approaches certainty ...

It has happened before (say "goodnight, dinosaurs") and will almost certainly happen again.

whether humanity will have continued existence by that time is anyone's guess ... one would hope that our distant descendants will be able to deflect errant asteroid/cometary material...

a "rogue planet" from *outside* the solar system is much much MUCH less likely to influence our "home solar system"

There are "rogues" in the Solar System already - Earth often (in geologic time) gets hit with meteors big enough to reach the ground. About once a century or so, on average, a small one will reach the ground, resulting in a blast of up to ten megatons or so.

Smaller ones hit the atmosphere periodically. Some 136 atmospheric explosions have been detected by satellites used by the US Air Force.

Put it this way: the energy of those meteors burning up was big enough that they showed up on sensors designed to detect nuclear explosions.

Sleep well.

I believe a "rouge" planet has already entered the solar system. It has a name - Mars. Mars is of rouge color. My final answer is 100%.

About the same as you standing atop Kilauea volcano, whilst marrying Hillary Duff in a full nude wedding and getting struck by lightning under a clear, blue sky.

Possible but highly improbable.

Well, let's see! A "rouge" planet--are you talking about its color? Or its abrasiveness?

Or did you mean to type "rogue" such as women put on their cheeks?
