Ballroom is always helpful, because it is used in shows from lots of different periods. Learn the waltz, the foxtrot, the American tango and maybe a little bit of swing.
If you're into musicals, learn tap! That will make you very marketable, as even if you aren't a terrific dancer, it will give you an edge.
A contemporary or modern class will teach you body awareness, helping you focus on your posture, your breathing and spacial relationships. While you probably won't have to ever bust out your Isadora Duncan impression onstage, the skills and technique you learn in these classes will help you in your acting.
While not a dance class persay, also eventually consider learning some stage combat. If you can do a great fake neck snap or throw (or take) a mean piledriver punch, directors will be impressed by your versatility.
Happy dancing...and acting! :)

There is no one dance style. It would be good to study several different forms, including but not limited to Ballroom, Jazz, Tap, Modern/Interpitve, Ballet, etc...
Some preformance colleges offer cources in Musical Dance, which discuss and teaches elements from many of the more populer styles.
Some folk and Latin dances wouldn't hurt as well, as they can come in handy for pariod peices.
The best advice woudl be to contact your locat dance school and see what they have to offer and woudl recomend, they may have a class in stage dance, or a serices of classes which would be good to take.
I agree, that you shoudln't try to master all dance types. But having the basics down will be key, and you can allways learn to mix dance styles to make new dances/moves for the show your in or auditions.
Break a Leg (theater term, don't really break your leg.)

Depends largely on what kind of acting you want to do. You mentioned that you're taking voice lessons, so I'm assuming you want to do musical comedy. The dance in these pieces is generally more of a contemporary nature; modern and jazz courses would probably be beneficial. If you merely want to enhance your physical flexibility, balance, and range, and increase your body awareness, then ballet might be useful.

I'd go with ballroom. It is elegant, and many things can be learned like gracefulness and such. A lot of people respect ballroom because it is classy. Check it out!!
