On my last SAT, i got:
Critical Reading 700
Math 640
Writing 670

On my ACT, i got:a 29

I'm not involved in many afterschool clubs or sports, for a couple of years I did electronics club (please dont ask lol), last year I did auto club, and this school year I will be doing bike club. Last year I worked throughout the schoolyear, and I have proof via a Cooperative Work Experience, a work program monitored by the school, in which I recieved an A+. I also worked this summer at a bicycle store, and will be working throughout the schoolyear. This summer I also volunteered at a food relief organization, and I will continue to do this througout the school year.

Not counting my junior year (which was last year), I had a cumulative GPA of 90.5. However, last year I literally got all A's and A+ in every class, every quarter, and that grade improvement hasn't been factored in. I am in no remedial classes, and I go to a very competitive high school (Syosset high school, ny).

Thanks

i just graduated from binghamton 2 years ago, and it seems like you are qualified. The only problem with applying to Bing is that, everyone applies there, especially in long island schools. And when i say everyone, all the smart boys and girls from high school who are usually the top 10% apply to Bing as a "backup" school. Binghamton usually puts a quota (depending on the school size) of how many students they want to accept from each school, and they usually* (not always) take the best of the applicants. Seeing that you did well in your junior year, and your SAT's looks good (I'm not sure how to factor in the new scores though --) and you do have extracurricular activities...so the chances are, that you will get in. I suggest that you write a good essay, and that you have a few other backup schools. YOu should also submit your application early.

If you do get into Bing, I suggest that you decide what major you want to pursue by the end of Freshman year, since I believe that the school has a big problem with motivating students; if you lack direction coming into college, you should really talk to an adviser (which is so hard to do b/c they hardly give you any time).

Anyways, Binghamton is a great school, and you'll meet great people. People just get carried away with the partying...so GOOD LUCK!

you have a very good chance of getting into Binghamton even with scholarships. I got in with full ride with 3.9 GPA UW and SAT score of 2290 ( M 790, CR 700, W 800). But at the end I choose to go to university of Chicago. I have a friend who scored 1220 on math and critical reading combined and a 3.2 GPA got in with $4000 scholarship.

You should have no problem.

I got in with a class rank of 25% (special circumstances at my school made it so I doubt it counted), 29 ACT, 1220 SAT, and 93.45 *** (unweighted), and the hardest possible course load. Some schools are harder to get into than others, but you should be fine. My only advice is to write a great essay.

Congrats in advance!

SUNY schools are easy to get into. Any good student (you) doesn't have a problem.

I think you have a good shot. Work hard to get good grades this semester, don't slack off.
