Maybe you should buy the pool table and get a new boyfriend to show you how to play. You shouldn't have to put it in your living room to "have him show you", or to "spend time with him", because that really won't be spending quality time with him. I would see why he spends more time playing poker than with you.

Hello there, I am a guy and I have been with my girlfriend for close to a year now. Sometimes in our relationship I choose to do things on the computer, etc. than talk to her. I soon came to my senses and finally decided that if she wanted to talk to me etc. I would drop whatever I was doing and talk.

Everyone needs there free-time, but in your case it seems he has his free-time and no real you-time. I think that you should have a talk with him and try to tell him he is spending too much time online and should be having more quality time with you, sometimes just telling him or talking with someone is better than doing little things to convince him or something like that.

Guys are to-the-point people, just talk with him and tell him what's making you uneasy and what you think will fix it. Maybe talk to him and discuss having a couple hours just you and him everynight? Just compromise with what he want and what you want and perhaps you can come to a good conclusion for the both of you.

But, if he continually chooses poker over you, then maybe he does not really love you in this way and should question in your head if he really loves you would he ignore your presence.

And also remember some people can become addicted to online poker, and you should visit:

Scroll down to "Know when to fold" and read those 20 questions and try to answer them for him.

Try to be there for him while he gets away from online poker if he does have a problem and you both love eachother alot.

I'm sorry if it wasn't online poker he was into, but all you said was poker.

No it won't stop him from playing poker and shooting pool with the guys. He plays poker and shoots pool for a reason and it has nothing to do with the table and everything to do with the ambiance--and the pool table in your living room won't cut the mustard.
