Your laptop has USB ports. Your old mouse is probably a PS2 connector (small round barrel), which doesn't fit the USB port. While there are adaptors available, suggest getting a USB mouse. The "laptop" variety are smaller than the desktop type. I like the Microsoft Wireless Notebook Mouse.

Well if your talkin about your old mouse then it probably has a PS2 connector on the end, which on newer laptops it doesnt have a input on it. You could buy an adapter but by the time you do all that you can buy a new USB mouse for like 10 bucks. Its just worth upgrading to a new USB mouse.

I have a mouse with a USB connector and I love it.. Some of the desktop connectors are not on the laptops but most laptops have USB ports...

...you can get a new mouse with the right attachment or you can probably just get a US adaptor for your mouse. If your Laptop doesn't have USB ports you should take it back.

No, just go to any office depot u other place and get a wireless mouse are very useful and there's nothing special.
