Has anyone ever heard of/ used them for their car? Igot a letter in the mail from this company (in Alabama) to put a 1 year bumper to bumper warranty on my 2000 Olds Alero. Ihave had LOTS of problems with this car, and I think the offer might be good for me. You pay $200 for a year with a $100 deductible. I tried to get a hold of my mechanic to see what he thought, but he is on vacation. Can anyone give me any info on this company? Are they legit? Thanks!!!

Make sure you can see the actual policy before purchasing it. Most legit vehicle extended warranty companies limit the age and mileage they will sell a contract to for obvious reasons. Cars do not age well, they get run down and the older they get the more they may have problems. Do you ever hear of any life insurance company that gives a 95 year old person a great and cheap life insurance policy. Be Careful.

I used to have a garage and I became the "authorized" shop through one of the used car lots that I did work for. I would suggest that you read [possibly with a magnifying glass] the "policy". I will say that I had more people did get help from it than otherwise, but they usually bought the "policy" with the car, so the lot and I were usually willing to pull for them. Make sure that the disclaimer isn't too long! All this really doesn't say much, so the only advice that I can give is for you to make sure that there is a REPUTABLE shop in your local that they "accept" and would suggest checking with the Better Business Bureau before you sign anything

I've gotten their ads too... in my personal dealings with companies like that, they force you to pay more than what they will actually cover usually... I've seen them pay for a $40 part but the electronic module needed for $800 they won't....

Call a few dealers and ask if they heard of them..either the answer will be no or will tell you of a customer learning the lesson I'm saying today...

Best I have found are ones offered by dealers and best being the factory's extended warranty

The terms of contracts like that usually exclude pre-existing problems, wear items and sometimes leaking seals and gaskets. Get you mechanic to look at it, and also see what it requires of you. Things like authorization for repairs, and maintenance records. Read the fine print.
