Yes, society needs laws. The actions of the individual cost lives and they should pay in kind.
And to add, hello411 shows how stupid people are. By this logic, should we put prison guards in jail. Only God should put people in prison.
And Markus below adds to the stupidity. How many people have been falsly accused of 'pick any law'. Does the fact that a law can be abused mean we should get rid of it? Ok, let's just clear the book of all laws.

No. I think that's a medieval notion,... especially in a democratic society. One has the choice to elect a government but one does not have the choice to not support the elected government and the country that government represents. How many of the people executed by Saddam for 'treason' do you think deserved it?

i dont believe execution is the right thing to do...EVER!!!! what is the point of killing them and committing the SAME crime that the executed criminal just did???the executioner deserves to get executed too!!! NOBODY DECIDES WHEN IT'S TIME FOR SOMEONE TO DIE...UNLESS ITS GOD.
