My father was given a cup when he was born celebrating the coronation of Edward VIII taking the throne, but he never did and the cups were recalled. Wanted to know if it's valuable and how much something like that would be worth. Does anyone know a website where I can find out stuff like that?

You can take it to a shop of good standing that handles this type of item. Do not go to a pawn shop.

I don't think you will have trouble finding people to appraise it for you. It can easily be found through google searches. Just be careful about who you select, and you'll have it. This is from the top of the page: http://www.isa-appraisers.org/

Cup, shmup,

What could that old chipped cup be worth?
Your father used to keep his teeth in it
