Anyone going snowboarding SOON?

Question

I m after a group of boarder.. to go riding in weekends
Date wise.. decision will be made after feedback.
Generally, $$ wise I would like to equally separate this for group participation; Travel, Accommodation, Food. With individual needs such as lift passes, ur on ur own
Travel wise, if someone has private transport and is kind enough to make this available this will be great.. ( petrol will be dived ) however if this is unavailable I guess we can always take the bus..
Also.. I understand some people will be very anxious and I also understand this will require trust for this to happen so.. prior to departure I would like to arrange a quick get together so people that are actually anxious.. can pull out.. Now.. if people are genuinely interested in attending.. please send me an e-mail with ur details to

With the snow season coming to a near end.. I want to go one more time.. anyone else feeling like this?? Well I am a very keen snowboarder and would like to go every day!! The only down side.. is the current work ( M-F ) with my annual leave already spent.. : (

I am wondering if I am the only one having this problem.. wanting to go.. but not being able to go..? if reader know what I mean..

Well.. I am the only bloke that actually enjoys this passion, and being the odd one out from my mates when it comes to hobbies.. is difficult to accomplish..
With my older sister been a snowboard freak also.. does help.. but seeing as she has Uni.. : (
I normally go with my friend.. but our last ride together.. he broke his shoulder and now he is recovering from a shoulder operation and with the recovery date to be later then October.. giving me no choice.. I‘M NIGELATED……: (

Given these circumstances.. I actually went to Thredbo myself.. last week.. catching a return bus from Parramatta ($188 return same day ) I enjoyed myself for about 8 hours of good riding.. but.. as you all know.. this is insufficient.. : (

I have been trying to encourage my surfie friends to come with me.. however, to no avail.. and now I am turning to public..

Im not after professional boarders/skiers or first timers.. I really just want to GO…: (
And I myself isn’t the best.. : (


I understand that snowboarding in general is a very expensive sport.. etc..

Equipment..
Travel..
Accommodation..
Food..



I am wanting to arrange a group of boarder/skiers.. to go riding to either Thredbo or Perisher Valley,

The date preferences will be, in general weekends.. but to be exact would be the following;

Departure on Friday night, arrive at the resort on Saturday morning, and leaving on Sunday night, arrive back in Sydney on Monday dawn ( I think.. )

The exact date wise.. I think I can decide this when I have enough people that are genuinely interested

Resort wise, I am looking at currently Thredbo only, but am open to suggestions..

P.P.S if you don’t have your own equipment.. you can always rent all the equipment at either Thredbo or Perisher ( this will not be included in the ‘group thing’ ) unless there is some sort of special package that the resorts will offer.. not too sure
