The 429 and 460 can be installed in a Ranger, although this is not a very practical swap. The big blocks length complicates installation and makes clearance in certain areas very tight. The stock Ranger/Bronco II chassis isn't capable of handling the torque of the large displacement motor and this adds to problems.

a 5.0 will fit in it good,,i have done one here in the shop,,the only problem we had was with finding a cross member we changed our to an automatic,,and it is doing pretty good now,,you may have to do a little work to get it in there,,but they make a kit you can do it,,and it saves a whole lot of time trying to make some of the parts,,you can have some fun with it if you get it in there,,i own a repair shop,,and we do a lot of engine swapping,,just to see if it can be done,,good luck with it,,i hope this help,s.,,on putting the 302 in there you dont have to destroy anything important.

all the gen I and II small blocks will in good shape precise in there, from 1956 (fifty 5 wont in good shape using no element engine mounts on them) to 2000 vortec all the common massive blocks will bolt as much as transmission and could slot on your truck yet you will might desire to alter engine mounts on physique and exhaust, alongside with acc. brackets for alt, potential steerage, and so on in case you flow with the vortec you will might desire to get a carb'ed intake that fits the vortec engine layout, use your 350's HEI dizzy, and use a uni in good shape elec gasoline pump that places out 5-7 psi and 40-60 GPH

depends on how much you want to modify and how much more of the drive train you want to change also. With enough work and cash you can go better than 460 but will not have inner fenders no more nor any other of the factory drive train.
