Potatoes are probably the last thing you would see there. It is the opposite of eastern Idaho where all the potato farms are. It is just like any other semi-large city. There is a big university, an airport, malls and other normal things, but no potato farms.

The third largest city in the Northwest. Nice parks, river, foothills. Warm, dry summers. Cold winters - not much snow. Nearby skiing, camping, lakes. Potatoes.....no. They are grown in other areas of Idaho, but not Boise. Nice downtown area with good restaurants. Capital of Idaho. Relatively low cost of living. Great place to live.
