Why did evolution made us so beautiful on the outside, but not internally we are not visually appealing?

I was thinking about that lately, why is it that we, and all the creatures around us, on the outside have this nice appearance, but internaly there is nothing appealing to the eye..??

Watch an open heart surgery. When doing the bypasses, the heart is stopped and the blood is circulated by a machine. Once the surgeon has finished the bypasses, and "re-starts" the heart of a person who would have surely died,,,, IT IS A BEAUTIFUL THING!
Beauty is all about what you are exposed to. The first surgery I observed as a student nurse made my stomach heave. But years of experience have shown me the intricate beauty of the internal workings of our anatomy.
A C-Section may look gross to the untrained eye. But if you are the nurse who has cared for the Mom-to-Be and comforted her when the baby's heartbeat drops because the cord is around his neck, an emergency C-Section is a beautiful thing. One minute you fear that the baby will die and the next you see the Mom hold her healthy child for the first time. Amazing.
The more I learn about the human body, the more beautiful it becomes. Excellent question!

because evolution would cause us to look at the outside for an attractive mate. If you cut your potential mate open to see the insides, you could possibly kill them, so in a matter of natural selection it would not work. Since the view of the inside is not important in the natural selection process, it doesn't make an difference whereas the outside is extremely important.

It is all a matter of perception, really. As one wit said, in answer to your question, a chopped off human leg would be "beautiful" to a starving wolf. I have met many people, who, broadly speaking, are "beautiful" on the inside. They radiate a peaceful, loving ambiance and when they speak to me they make me feel better about myself. I try to be like this. And obviously many people do not appear "beautiful" on the outside. We have all met people who make a bulldog look handsome. So, as the writer Lawrence Durrell puts it in The Alexandria Quartet, "Does not everything depend on our interpretation of the silence around us?" In mystical thinking, we come out of silence and to silence we return.

Evolution is only interested in success at reproduction, and that has nothing to do with how you look inside, which until recently was unknown to most hominids anyway.

Oh, you are wrong! Many internal organs are very colorful - have you never seen surgery on TV? It always is surprising to see all the different colors going on in there. I suppose only surgical staff get to appreciate it, though!

now this one gave me some thought,.its just like with any thing of beauty...its in the eye of the beholder..maybe it is that we think that a spleen is yucky in appearance (is yucky a word?) but if you show the same spleen to a doctor, he may say,.wow what a healthy looking spleen and see something totally different. remember its all in the eyes!
