The law on statutory is as follows:
The younger person, in most cases the girl, needs to be 16 when the older person turns 18. If your 18 and u have sex with a 12 year old girl, that's illegal. If your 18 and you have sex with a girl that turned 16 AFTER you turned 18, that's illegal. But if the girl is 16 and your 17, it's not illegal when you turn 18.

No, but once he's 17/18 he can be charged with it and as an adult and face prison for it. Plus, a 12-year-old girl shouldn't even be having sex with a 16-year-old.

i do not think so as long as both of you consent to it. Why would a 16 yr old boy be haveing sex with a 12 yr old any way that is kinda sick.JUST STOP AND THINCK ABOUT IT.You better hope that you do not make her mad any time soon you could get in to some trouble is she cries rape on you.

It’s not rape as long as the parents of the girl don’t file charges and the worse that could happen is a restraing order, more then likely a slap on the wrist

could be. i would be more concerned about the parents finding out. if i ever heard about my 12 year old child having sex with a 16 year old, i'd wait 2 years until they were a legal adult and take care of it all then.

Yes it is in any state and may be child molestation too,don't be silly if they love each other get real ,it may have been consensual but a 12yrs old girl doesn't have the right to consent its illegal.
