Scroll down a little and you'll hit it.....lol, I've never seen somebody put that much time and energy into something like that. But it is true for most of us isn't it? But, don't get me wrong...there is much more to an American than that. Have a nice night!

oh, and I know this really wasn't a question but I thought I would share this with you.

What a fascinating site...thanks very much for the link. I've spent the last hour pouring over all the cultural notes from all kinds of countries...so interesting!

I think this site make a good point, though, that because of our practices we are distinctly American, for better or worse (the latter being the consensus among most of the world). I think enough history has passed that natural-born Americans should think of their bloodlines as American rather than Irish, English, German, or whatever.

To be American is not a nationality. It is a passport.Whoever gets one is an American.
There is no American culture. After so many years ,every ethnic group has it's own culture and language.

But you will get there. You are still a very young country. When everything will melt in the pot you will have a nationality and a culture.

Well, I read the description of Dutch people and I though it was quite funny. In a lot of ways quite correct too. And I don't think you're being mean to anybody. It's funny. Doei!(dutch greetings)
