Power company isn't cooperating. It's pretty ugly and prevents me from tossing football or whatever in the back yard.

Been there with a similar situation...call the EMERGENCY downed powerline phone number and tell them that you have a safety hazard on your property. They'll be out the same day!

If the utility company is not cooperating then call the local utility commission. This organization regulates the utility company and there is a complaint procedure to follow.

Call the power company again & keep trying to contact a supervisor or manager. Having the lines so low over your property is a dangerous condition.

Also try contacting your town or city commissioner.'

the national electrical code states that the lines have to be 12' off the ground for general clearance. If they pass over a pool, hot tub, or deck, or drive way they have to be higher.

Local ordinances may have stricter requirements.

Contact your local city hall building inspector, or electrical inspector. They have some pull to get things done, especially if there is a violation here.

If the power company isn't cooperating, get in touch with your district or county attorney's office and see what happens with that.

I would call the local television station. It always seems to do the trick. You will not get anywhere with the power companies.

If your electric company is ignoring the problem, I would call the police dept. and file a complaint! It is not only ugly I'm sure but, it is also very dangerous.~x(

well, whine to the power or phone or cable company that owns them, (check the phonebook) and when and if that doesn't work you can tell your local tv news station and see if they'd like to do there little consumer advocate thing.
