I have been in a bellydance troupe for over 2 years, and I am now starting to dance on my own as well. I am having a hard time finding and picking out a stage name that suits me. I would like something exotic and meaningful as well. Any ideas?

Aaliyah (the name I agve to my daughter) - means exhaulted one
Ameera - Princess
Samia - Noble, Lofty, Elevated
Samah - Generosity
Saara - One who brings joy with her charm
Samar - Sorry, cant remember the meaning
Souhair - Can't remember the meaning to this one either
Shadyia - Singer
Suhaila - Canopy, Tent, Marquee
Taheya - Greeting, cheer
Naima - Blessing or happiness

I use the name Cassandra which is my birth name. It's greek but I never felt a need to name myself something else. Bellydance is a big part of my life when I'm not on stage and what I know I learned being cassandra. Being someone else just never made sense to me. But I respect the choice other make about the naming issue. Had I been born with a painfully dull name like Jane (sorry to any janes I've just offended) perhaps I would have felt differently about it.
