if a white guy dresses in baggy pants, big shirts, talks a certain way, people make remarks about him wanting to be a gangster, he thinks hes balck...ect. BUT, if a black man dresses, in a suit and talks like a white guy, why isnt there remarks about him wanting to be white, why arent they calling him a yuppie...do you get what i am saying?

I understand what you are saying. There seems to be a reverse bias that takes place in some African-American sub-cultures whereby people who are trying to improve themselves by going to school or doing well by their own efforts are ridiculed and insulted by their peers. It's almost as if the nay-sayers are going, "Well, we don't really want to take a chance and improve so why the heck are you doing so and making us look bad."

I don't think it's weird. I think it is perfectly acceptable for anyone to wear a suit. Just because someone wears a suit and tries to get ahead doesn't mean they are white or a sell out. They are just trying to improve their life or do well for themselves.
I do have to laugh though when I see a white teenager try to dress and be a gangster. It's a joke. It is sad that we have any "gangsters" and it is sad that it is glorified in movies and video games.
If all people had a fair shot at success their would be much less gangs, but this is America and in order to have an upper class there has to be poor people white, black, latino it doesn't matter.

You do not need to be white to be a yuppie.
Why anyone thinks being a gangster is a good idea is beyond me.
I have never been to a doctor that says "Yo, check this out...".
I also would not buy a house from a real estate agent who needs one hand to keep his pants on.

They are remarks for Blacks that dress in a suit and talks like a white person, it is Uncle Tom or brown noser (caca nose). The only thing is that you will never hear that because is discuss among themselves.

Making remarks about that to a black man would be considered inappropriate and racist. Yes, there is a double standard there.

it's what we call prejudice, some name it discrimination, and other what-have-yous. we have been trying to eradicate this ever since we realized that this is wrong. however, this is no easy task..
many times, it is through our manner of dressing ourselves that we show the people who we are and what we feel at that day, moment, etc., like, your clothes are a measure of your identity.
something like that.. i guess, we don't feel so good when someone dresses like us...

They do, but it's all in good fun, we can all get along just fine being ourselves... It's truly how wrinkled the brain is that matters. You can't see that, need to get to know them first...

Don't pay it any mind. You just found out something about yourself. One: You think for yourself. Two: You can identify phoniness. Three: I think you're great.
