It's not really popular in my school in upstate ny but I think its because our swim teams, lacrosse teams, field hockey, cross country, ski teams, and football teams are really good, and the hockey team is just ok, sports are a big thing at my school.

Hockey was very popular at my High School. It was in Niagara Falls, NY. right on the Canadian border. It probably isn't to popular in many other places tho.

If your state borders Canada, there are schools in it where hockey is king. It is really big in the part of New York that I come from.

My son played varsity as a freshman and was pretty popular. Being popular is not important, is it? You need your grades to stay on the team!!!

There is no such thing as being popular in high school.
You dont even have to join anything its all up to your personality and the rest is a bonus.
