I am a Freshman in high school and have wanted to be a pediatrician for as long as I can remember. Now that I am in high school I would really like to start looking at the best pre-med and med schools that would get me through to be the successfull doctor that I want to be.
I need to know good colleges/universities to search and read up on so I can get a head start on different things.
Also, does anybody have suggestions on classes to take in high school to help me prepare for this career?

Whoa. You are putting the horse behind the cart. You primary objective now is to excel in all college prep courses while in high school to be able to get a high enough score on the ACT, or SAT to get into a regular college. While at college taking pre-med course, you have to do likewise, to be able to get a high enough score on the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) to be even considered for admission to medical school. There are people with nearly 4.0 GPA's who are rejected from med school.
The competition is very stiff. Prepare yourself well.

You will need Math, Biology, Human Anatomy/Lab, Chemistry, etc. Look up some universities that you are interested in and ask for information/catalog and compare information of the places that you received it from, maybe you would like to take a visit to a few of them and chat with them about the program,
