Tire rotations, the cheaper way to fix it.

chances are it neds more than aligned. If you want to see if a ball joint or something jack the corner of the car by the frame put something under the car so it does not fall on you and wiggle the tire and see if you see something broke or loose. Chances are a ball joint but could be a number of other things also. You do not say which way it is not straight so do not know if this is a caster, camber or toe in problem. If you see nothing broke or loose then when the car is flat again with the wheels straight measure the distance from the front of the front tires and the back side of the front tires. The front should be just next to nothing closer than the rear. Anyway when you find the problem or have an idea i dought you will be able to fix it if you are asking this but will have an idea if the mechanic is telling you the truth.

Whoever did the tie rod is an idiot. You don't mess w/ the tie rods w/out doing a wheel alignment afterwards.Take it to a pro. , could be wheel bearings if it's not whoever messed w/ the tie rod, but if it was" adjusted " it's out of alingment. The only adjustment involves the same areas that are adjusted during realignment.

You have knocked your front end out of line somehow... running up on a curb.... hitting something... running through mudholes... etc...

You should get a front end alignment. If you keep the car as it is.. It will wear your tire down and youll have to get a front end alignment and also new tires...(dont want to spend more money thatn what you have to)

Take your car to the garage for a front wheel alignment or sell the car and get a new one.

The majority of the group here says alignment, I tend to agree with them. Also, a tire rotating may be needed as well

Take your car into the shop. It sounds like the front axis is out of alignment.

HAVE A PROFESSIONAL LOOK AT IT
IF THE ALIGNMENT IS IN SPECIFICATIONS IT IS POSSIBLE IF YOU HAVE STRUTS THE TOP MOUNT COULD BE GONE
THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AS IT IS POSSIBLE THAT WHATEVER THE PROBLEM IS YOU COULD RUN INTO STEERING PROBLEMS TO THE WHEEL COMING OFF
DO NOT BE TOO CONCERNED ABOUT THE COST AS IF IT IS NOT REPAIRED YOU WILL BE REPLACING THE TIRE PREMATURELY

it sounds like the tie rod is bent or the ball joints need to be replaced
