my stepdad used to do heroin really bad before he met my mum, so she told him to either get off it or get out cos she had 3 kids to take care of, so he kicked the habit he was on methodone and after a year he was clean, he was the best man in the world i thought of him more as a dad than mine, but because of the heroin, his white blood cells were extremely low and it took 4 years for his veins to come back through his skin, one day he came downstairs to my mum, screaming with excitement cos he found a vein in his hand, it was his final hurdle, or so he thought, he couldn't stop coughing and he developed flu, that wouldn't go away, he put it down to lack of blood cells and so did the doctor, unfortunately, one morning he slept later than usual, mu mum sent me to wake him up, but i couldn't wake him, he was sweaty and breathing wierd, but i went to play with my friends anyway, the next thing i knew, there was an ambulance, outside my house and he had died. my mum thought he had taken something, but the doctors said he had pneumonia, and he couldn't fight it off cos A no one had realised in time, and B his lack of blood cells meant he couldn't fight off the water in his lungs, i missed him so much and always will. And that's why i would never do drugs, not even the harmless ones, it would hurt mu mum, and i just couldn't do it

Smoked marijuana from late 60's - 80's infrequently, but I seemed to have the capacity to enjoy myself with 'very little' of it, using the effects to simply enjoy what I was experiencing (in other words, Enough was enough) - while others seemed to 'have to smoke it because it was there.'
My assumption was that there are those who simply HAVE TO get totally WASTED - which I saw as a waste, and now see as something indicative of a personality type.
Then, a couple of years ago, I had the offer of a joint, which I smoked a little of ...and I went to sleep - awakening from the most HORRENDOUS nightmares.
My assumption was / is that this was a result of the mix of that and the medication I (HAVE TO) take.
This again happened ...and they were just too awful to ever want to experience again.
Drugs, from my limited experience, are 'dangerous.' If you want to take them, fine, BUT, as long as you do not want, ask or expect me (or anyone) to pick up the pieces afterwards.
Like anything else, it is Your Choice, like playing in a minefield, and the outcome is Your Responsibility ...although not all outcomes are the same - But -
…if you want to be in the position where you spend every day battling demons, Need your bottom cleaning, Have to have a stranger wipe the drool from your face, and when in need of feeding, you HAVE TO WAIT for someone to do it for you (this I have seen).... then do go for it.
In this situation, the time you can spend when you cannot do things for yourself, when the TV and radio IRRITATES - when you cannot focus to read - are unable to have your attention held, when you cannot speak and there is no one to talk with anyway, it's the worst kind of self induced prison sentence you can imagine………..
....with so Many, many empty, endless moments of time for you personally……
Take Your chances ~ and You pay their prices (oh, and the Tax is built in too).

I don't know you well enought to say what I've done, but lets just say it isn't nothing to brag about. I'm innocent ha ha! As long as people don't do something stupid then screw it, legalize everything. The government could control it and make tons of $$$!!! That'd be the way to go if you ask me!!!!!
