More than likely I would say as big as you can find an oversized piston for it. Probably .080"/ 2mm oversize is the max. Most motorcycle/ATV engines of that type (cast iron cylinder liner) can go that far over.

Depends on you machining abilities. The important thing is the stud spacing on cylinder block. find a piston and liner to fit inside the stud holes and you can go a that big (about 6mm smaller than the smallest stud spacing) I did a Honda CB360 twin with Suzuki GSX-R 1100 pistons (used 2 of the four) which came out to almost 500cc
