Because the country obvious cares more about sexual escapades than it does willful violation of federal law.
No impeachable offense? Give me a break.
The Supreme Court has determined that Bush has committed felony war crimes as defined under federal law (18 USC 2441). And Bush has proudly admitted it. What more do you want?
Article II Section 4. "The President, Vice President and all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors."

I have no idea. I never quite understood what Clinton's sex life had to do with how well he ran the country. Technically he was impeached for lying about it under oath, but still, what does lying about cheating on your wife have to do with running the country? Bush, on the other hand, ignores the Constitution, which has everything to do with how he runs the country, and everyone just yawns.
kingdante87, they DID impeach Clinton. When you're impeached, you don't automatically get removed from office.

Because Bush knows how to appeal to people that are elitist, xenophobic, and self-interested. His administration's propaganda machine is GREAT at putting cutey-pie names on evil ideas (family values = sanctioned discrimination). He plays to peoples hate, fear, and ignorance...and gives them a common enemy (though made up) to group together against. It's (1950's) McCarthyism all over again: those who can't understand/tolerate/or accept anyone different from themselves, because apparently they believe they're so perfect and infallable. Unfortunately, that's half our country.
I can't understand how supposedly intelligent people can think that a hostile infiltration/occupation based on lies is ok (Iraq) or patriotic...or how disregarding our Constitution and (breaking 26) laws by spying on us is ok...or how changing the Constitution with the (cutey- pie wrong name of ) Patriot Acts to greatly reduce our civil liberties/rights is in ANY way American OR patriotic.
A terrorist can threaten our life, but NO TERRORIST CAN THREATEN OUR LIBERTY....only our own government can...and George Bush HAS. Diminishing our Constitutional rights DOES NOT protect us in ANY way from terrorists. Leaving our borders wide open doesn't either. Guess he wants MORE terrorist acts so he can also use those as an excuse to finish turning us into a police state.
That these right-wingers then turn around and say we don't know what we're talking about just floors me. Are they on freakin' crack????? Are they dead from the neck up??? Can denial be THAT powerful??? I guess this is how Hitler won over the German people....and how the anti-Christ will do the same. Some people just don't know evil when they see it...or they just really like it, or something.

Clinton, a lawyer, lied in a court proceeding under oath. He knows this is called perjury. He lied ABOUT Monica. President Bush has not committed any impeachable offenses.

Bush has done nothing illegal. The liberal argument of "Bush lied people died" blew up in their face when they found 500 projectiles. In addition, congress voted for the war. Remember, Kerry voted for it before he voted against it.
These are tough times and Bush is doing a good job considering the task he has at hand. Dont forget, Clinton had eight years to make America safe. We were attacked moths after the douche left office. As part of the working class, homeowner, military vet and red blooded American, Bush has done much for us. The Bush administration has kept you safe, taxes are low, the unemplyment rate is the lowest of the free world and the economy continues to grow. These arent opinions, these are facts that no sensible liberal can dispute. Well, liberals never really were interested in truth.

No, sweetheart, they impeached Clinton--and thank you for remembering--for lying to a special prosecutor hired to investigate Clinton's improprieties with a barely of age intern in the Oval Office. As for Bush, I voted for his father in the primaries with Reagan (He lost then.) I voted for his father when he won and I voted for this one twice. And I'd vote for him again if I could. Oh....and it's "impeach with an "i," not an "e." Glad to have been of service to you.

because the laws of impeachment were written in such a way that it would be up to congress to decide. the offical rules state that impeachment proceedings can move forward if the offense is detrimental to the state of the union. so bascially it's up the congress to decide if the actions caused harm to the USA. the GOP thought that a BJ harmed the country, but GW entering us into a false war and wasting trillions of dollars isn't. it's that simple.

They impeached Clinton for lying under oath, which is a crime in this country. I am certain their motives lied with the reason you stated, but they had a real case against him.
What law has Bush violated? I hope you're not stupid enough to think not liking someone or agreeing with their choices is grounds for impeachment.

People need to find out what impeachment actually means. Wickapedia would be a good place to start.
It is more of a allegation than a conviction. That is why Clinton was impeached but there was insufficient evidence to actually convict him in the Senate for Treason Bribery or High Crimes and misdemeanors.
So BJ not Treason The House of Representatives claimed Clinton Lied to the Special Prosecutor. However the famous "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" was a well worded statement. The DC Court had previously up held that Oral sex was not a sexual relation. Slick Willie did not lie. the Senate did not find him guilty.
Bush has committed Treason, His administration has been involved in Bribery. G W Bushes affiliation with the World Bank is in fact High Crime. As for Misdemeanors I know of no claims or charges.
