I just watched Gremlins and saw in the credits Howie Mandell as the voice of Gizmo, could this be the same Howie Mandell of Deal or no Deal? Just wondering?

yes...he used to do stand up comedy....he was also an actor on a hospital drama called St. Elsewhere....he had an afro then

and, hard as it may be to believe, howie mandel was huge in the 80's. it's just like how people are just discovering paula abdul now when she was a major singing star years ago.
