do an "Uninstall" on McAfee first. Defrag your hard disk and then try installing Norton. Look in the Help file on McAfee it shouild tell you how to uninstall it.

You can always unistall it, but on my PC when i started to install the new software automatically detected the old one and asked if it should remove it. Try it. If not go to Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs> and find mcfee and then click remove/change. You should know the rest

You need to remove McAfee first. Then install Norton.

click start menu.. go to control panel, click on the add remove programs look down list and right click all Mc Afee files one at a time and remove them to recycle bin.. then go back to start menu and click on search.. then click on all files and folders ( includeing all hidden files) . type in McAfee and wait..then right click on any files found and delete them to recycle bin.. then empty recycle bin.. then you can install Norton with out any problems. then the first thing you must do is uninstall the mcfee from your computer. go to start and then look for the control box. open it and go to add remove programs. open it and uninstall mcffee. once it says finished then you can install your other antivirus.

they both suck anyways :) slows down your pc, plus runs virus scann for so long time lol
anyways keeps you in best shape against the viruses and spyware i guess.
glad u at least have antivirus like some of people on internet dont

Take out Mcafee it sux..I love Norton
