I would have just gotten over it...now I think I may pursue her for the repairs for making me feel like I did something to her? What do you think?

Unless you ended up with kinked edges, you may be able to have that dent pulled out, without body work or painting.
And of course, she caused the damage it is her responsibility. And getting hostile? I would run her over as if with a tank. I don't put up with crap like that.. Never have, never will...

You made fun of her because she was fat. You shouldn't blame her for damaging your car, but the manufacturers who today make their goods without taking into consideration that there are fat people out there, as the majority of those goods will only support 200 to 225 lbs. That's not her fault, so if you want to blame somebody, blame the manufacturer and sue them. We need goods that will support at least 500 lbs.

And shame on all of you above me for making fun of fat people. They may not have legal status, but I think it is as morally wrong to be hateful and discriminatory with them as any other protected group.

Wiat until she calms down and then explain to her that since she's the one who did the damage, she should pay. Even if she is your sister in-law, she should still pay for the damage she did. And if she refuses then you should take her to court.

How bad is it? Get a suction cup and pull it back out.
