If your question is How do I roll back using system restore than here is the answer:

Go to system restore
Click on Restore my computer to an earlier time
click next
On the calendar click on a date in bold letters. To the right you will see a system check point.
Click next
It will give you a warning click next and your done.

Just let the computer do its thing after that.

simple... boot you system with xp disc... when it starts the installation select the repair option available from the console.. log in you user name and password... then use the various commands available to retrieve your system...ex: like boot failure, mbr not found, etc...ONE MORE THING.. YOU HAVE NOT ASKED A PARTICULAR PROBLEM.. SO USE THE "HELP" COMMAND IN THE COMMAND PROMPT AND LOOK FOR VARIOUS OPTIONS AVAILABLE...
