Aht are you talking about? Shearing? Dehorning? Castration?

"Snipped" is a meaningless word when you don't bother to explain it.

it depends
snipping can be
1. castration - removal of the testicles
a. with dull knife - sharp knife bleeds to much
b. rubber band - wrapped around scrotum cuts blood circulation - they drop off
c. burdizo - a device that cuts and crimps the remaining blood vessels (makes a very scary crunching sound
d. Austrailian method- man against beast ( I will leave the description to your imagination)
2. vasectomy or epididiectomy (I know I spelled it wrong but its been awhile) cut one of the tubes from the testicles.
Depends on the animal and why being done

Do you mean neutered? If you do, then in a male the testes are removed but everything else remains intact. In a female, the ovaries and uterus are removed.

For females "spaying" is the same as a hysterectomy. For males "neutering" is when the testicles are removed.
