I can't say what my value would be, but I can say that it would be more than 0. You would take on new roles within the environment. Just as bees pollinate plants, and plants give off oxygen, and rain nourishes all living things, I would take on my own importance on the island among the other living things...I would serve a purpose whether it were contiuous, or temporary, like being eaten by something. Even then, my purpose would prolong itself afterwards; the animal that ate me would be full for a little while, and the other critters that it usually munches on would have a little more time to get away.
