The battery light stays on when driving. The Gauges (speedometer, fuel, ect..) don't come on when the car is first started. The door locks don't work fast, when I hit the button they lock or unlock very slowly. What could be the cause of these problems?

you have got a bad ground wire on it,,you need to look outside the battery area and look at all the ground points,,somewhere you will find one corroded over,or loose on it,,you may want to check the fluid level in your battery also,,it may be going dry,,this will cause the same thing,,i own a repair shop,,and there is a lot of things that will cause this to happen,,just check all your cables for a good tight fit,,and make sure they are clean,,if all this checks good you may have a weak battery in it,,i hope this helps you,,good luck.,,also check the alternator on it,,it may be giving a very weak charge,,and this will make the battery light stay on all the time.

Most likely the voltage regulator (located inside the alternator) is going out have it checked out and replace if necessary. Battery is only used when vehicle is not running, unless the alternator is dying then the battery tries to keep up the electrical flow.

When the battery light comes on it means theres a problem with the car's charging system. I would say the alternator is most likely the cause of your problem. You can take your car to your local Autozone and they will test it for free.

I agree with "Oklatom"
More than likely, scale built up between the battey post, and terminal.

Remove the negative battery terminal first. That way nothing will short out when working on the positive terminal.

Use a pocket knife or wire brush to scrape the scale off the terminals, and battery.

You will have to reprogram your radio.

The cause is a bad alternator or battery . Have your electrical system checked at a parts store. They will do It for nothing. Me guess is the alternator.

it sounds like either the battery is not storing charge very well, or the alternator id not charging the system properly, i would leave the car for a few days, and see it it starts, if it does then get a new alternator, i think its more likely to be the alternator

Low battery, dirty battery terminals, alternator not charging.
