i just got glasses a couple days ago. what r the ups and downs and what can and cant u do in them? im 12 years old.

I wear glasses. The ups:
I can see little things again, yes!!!
Hmmm, that's the only thing although you do get something new to make stylish statements with.
The downs:
Ya' gotta' wear 'em all the time to see, darn.
It's a bother when raindrops are all over them.
Glass lenses are too heavy and the plastic ones scratch easily.
When I work hard I perspire and the glasses slip some.
Supposed to use clean cloth, never paper tissue to clean 'em.
If you sit on 'em it's all over.
I think you can do nearly anything with them, but swimming means you leave 'em behind. Not worth taking care of them to bring them poolside and fear somebody might step on them.

when you get hit in the face. it really hurts. i got hit in the face with this volley ball once and it hurt. and when you go from air conditioning or cold air into like warm air, your glasses fog up and it's really annoying. and you can't wear sunglasses unless you spend money on perscription sunglasses. and you can't wear them when you go swimming the ups are that you can see. the board and if you like want to get some stylish glasses to help your fashion that's cool. make sure you keep them clean. and like fingerprint free. oh and sleeping with your glasses hurts like laying on the side of your head. if you don't need them all the time just start out using them to just see the overheard or read the board. when you start driving though, you'll need them to see. i'd suggest when you get older, to consider contacts.they'll give you more freedom but you should only get them if you're mature and super resposible. 'cause you need to keep them clean or else you can go blind. good luck. i hope they're cool. much love.

Well, the ups are, you can see better, they look nice, and you look smart!! The downs are you have to clean them, sometimes they get stuck, and sometimes they fog up. You can practice a ton of sports in them, if you have sports glasses.
