You will need to save the document somewhere else (such as you desktop) and then burn it onto a cd using a separate program. If you are using Windows XP, you will be able to select "burn to CD" from the explorer. If you are running another operating system or you are having other troubles, try an application such as "AVS Disc Creator FREE" (http://www.avsmedia.com/DiscCreator/index.aspx).

You can't write a cd directly from a program. Save the doc files and then drag or send a copy to the cd drive. A balloon should appear in the notification area. You can click on it and it will take you via Windows Explorer to the cd drive or just go there via "my computer". Drag as many files as you wish to that drive. In the left pane there is a choice at the top to create a cd. Click it and follow the instructions.

First of all is your CD drive a burner. If it is than it has its own software that will allow you to put the document onto the CD. Go to the program menu and search for that program. You will want to do a data disc. The program is usually user friendly. If you do not have a CD burner than I would suggest to get a 3 1/2" floppy and save it to that. Hope this helped.

Okay...first of all. You can't just save it onto a CD. It needs to be burned by another program.

First you just save it on your computer. Then you insert your blank disk. Windows can burn it for you I'm not exactly sure how though. You open up my computer and go into the CD Drive. Then you can just drag it onto the CD and there should be a burn button somewhere.

It would be easier if you had Roxio or Nero to burn it with.

Hope this works for you

not sure about the administration thing, but to get word doc on cd you can't save as to the cd drive, you have to use a cd burn program. open the program from desktop, click make data cd, choose the filename, then hit 'burn'. almost all computers work that way. pain in the butt. look for program called nero, or some such that is the cd burning program. see if that does it.

Don't Save as.

Click on My Docs, then msWord.

Open Word and find your file. If it's in a folder, open the folder. Once you find it, click on it -- DON'T OPEN IT -- when it's highlighted, the left pane options should change.

Slap a blank CD-R in the in the Burner & click the Copy option. Choose the burner & click OK.

You must have access to a burning program such as Nero. If you have a program that can burn data files, then you can burn a Word file onto a disk.
