My boyfriends uncles got really drunk the 1st time he met me and started screaming at me. I am scared he is going to do it again at this wedding I am going to of my boyfriends sister. There are going to be events with alcohol and I am scared he will get out of control again. What should I do?
He did not want to see us last time he was here because of that. He was embarassed. I wonder if that means he will not do it again?
My boyfriend is a civilized person, but said that he would have beat him up if he was not his uncle for screaming at a small woman. He just kept drinking margaritas and beers and his hateful side came out. Should I be scared? He is apparently the nice one in the family. The others are not comming because they are too violent and the reast of the family has divorced them.
I asked my BF how his sister would feel if her uncle got drunk and freaked out again. He said not good.

My BFs sister is very professional and has moved away from all this because of the drama. She has a life where people do not do this. She has a mellow life with a business and a full time job on top of it.

I think Rose has the best idea. I am going to talk to my BFs mom about this. She and I can talk. I think they should talk to the uncles wife she can hold the reins on him. She does not like to see her husband act up. Apparently she is really sweet and classy and would be mortified. I think prevention is the key here. He might do this to someone else or just be a really drunk mess and that would be horrible on his sisters special day. I will look into not staying super late. I cannot stay up late and neither can they I will have to remind my boyfriend not to push them to stay up late. He works nights and forgets that other people need to sleep. The drunken episode happened late at night and I kept wanting to go home. I will keep that in mind.

Thanks wife and rose. I think a combo of the 2 will keep us out of trouble with the drunk uncle.

Okay I called the family and apparently he has stopped drinking because his wife found out about this event and was mortified. Hopefully that is enough. It is not my problem and my BF will project me. Thanks for helping me.

Stare clear of him, and tell your boy friend, if he comes near you you want to leave. Some one needs to talk to him before the wedding, because it is embarrassing to the family.

Just go and then avoid him at all costs. Don't stand near him. If you see him coming then leave and don't stay really late, when most people tend to get wasted.
