Are you looking to collect things that you can sell at a higher price later on when the value goes up? Coins are a great start and so are stamps. Coin collection's been around for ages. I had an uncle that used to do this and he became extremely knowledgeable in coin collections, mint conditions and values of them. He would go to flea markets when he could get a booth and buy and sell coins of proper value.
You can look it up on line to see what values of coins are and how to get started. One of the best ways to start is going through your pennies, dimes and nickles and even some quarters and looking for the oldest ones you have. See if they're in good condition. Many have different letters that has meaning of what type of value is on the coin so I suggest you get some updated books about Coins.
Good luck!

I collect coins. You can start with something really simple, like state quarters, then easily beef up your collection with foriegn money and any odd money you might get in change or something like that. Just remember:NEVER EVER EVER CLEAN THE COINS. Even if its something you know you can clean, youre probably wrong. A lot of times professionals can clean dirty coins and take the coin for a higher vaue than if you mruin a coin and sell it for a lower value.

Collect coins or stamps or something like that--they increase in value over time, and they're small enough that a big collection doesn't take up a lot of space.
