I smoke for two reasons. First, I enjoy it. Second, and probably most improtantly, I'm addicted. It is probably one of the most powerful drugs in the world, nicotine. Perhaps it never should have been illegal, but it is, and as such.....here were are. Knwing something is bad for you, doesn't take away the addiction.

I enjoy it, and no matter what you say, if you a put a cigarette in a person's hand and they know how to use it, they're cooler than they were without it.
Honestly though, I understand the risks and dangers, and figure, if your getting on my *** about smoking cigarettes, you need to get on the fat people's asses for eating too much trash food. Doesn't obesity kill more people than smoking now? Smoking is an unhealthy trend and I honestly think it will disappear once people in this world start caring about their bodies and their health again.
If they banned cigarettes, it wouldn't bother me (except for the fact that I believe the government shouldn't have that much control over peoplee's bodies and choice), I'd quit and join the masses. I'd much rather smoke a joint than a cigarette anyways, they're a lot less harmful, but what're you gonna do? They're illegal, for some ironic reason.

I used to smoke but I stopped. It is a drug and smokers are to be pittied not criticized. The stupidity is to start smoking. Once hooked... they are no longer responsible !!
I tried and tried... could not stop. Then I decided to try again and said a prayer... and it worked. Who said that God helps those who help themselves ?! I am just saying precisely that. I smoked my last cigarette on the 7th of July 2005... ONE year and a month ago. I save US$1,000 a year and I smell better, I can taste food and I have NOT put on any weight... but I am addited to MINTS, Extra Strong Mints. I won't have any teeth left but I will live ongerand have healthier lungs.

It's called addiction and smoking has been compared to crack cocaine as far as it's addiction level. I believe that smoking is the king off all drugs because it does not show any real side effects like other drugs do. It takes a long time before that happens and then most think it's too late. That's my opinion anyway

The reason I smoke is cause I am addicted. Smoking also helps me calm down in times where I get frustrated or stressed out. I definitely am not proud to say I smoke, but its the truth. I sure do plan on quitting someday though.

because it eases my stress. i am a 23 year old, "shacked up" woman who lives with a 40 year old man and his lazy 16 year old son. i love my man with all my heart, but between the son and the exwife, i get stressed. plus since i made my man move out of his home that he owns to live wiht me in my rented apartment, cause i feel unsafe with the exwife's family living nearby, i have to work alot harder to insure my job security to pay for alot more bills and such.
so between my home life, and my work life.. i find it a miracle that i only smoke ciggarettes, rather than have a heart attack by now

People smoke because Man had taught us to accept it as traditional nerve breaker and now it has destroyed our lives.
