believe it or not airplanes, like cars follow routes like roads in the sky. Maybe a new route has been formed over where you live. Or maybe the planes are just flying lower to the ground. whatever the reason I hope this helps!

hmmm that is rather odd. I live in a big city so I am use to a lot of planes. But I grew up in a small town, and I know what your saying, it would be weird to all of a sudden have all those planes flying over.

i guess that could explain it. only other thing is maybe new military installation near you is just starting up activity...or if you have weather that is very unusual for area...if the wind is blowing in a direction it almost never blows, the planes would be going in a different direction than usual to compensate. they have to take off according to the wind direction, then change direction to destination after a certain altitude. either way, wish i was in mountains in the country. hate the city. even miami.

that is odd for where you live but for me i get about 20 planes flying over me every day. i just think where ever you live is getting a little extra tourism for some reason.. is there any special events happening in your area that might also be why. hope you find an answer from some one that REALLY knows for sure lol good luck*

I don't know where in the mountains you live but up here in Canada (in BC) in the mountains it is VERY dry right now. When there are lots of non-comercial planes going by it means that there is a forest fire or they are scouting one.

Here in Cleveland Ohio, we have what's called an "air show" but, I don't think that's what's goin' on. Watch your back.
