You can feed your cichlid frozen shrimp that is sold in blocks at the pet store, plankton or regular tropical fish food. I feed mine a combination of all three.

It depends on the species and size of the cichlid. Large oscars require feeder goldfish or oscar pellets. Smaller cichlids get along fine on tubiflex worms.

I know a guy who feeds his chichlid lettuce and goldfish, guppies, basically any fish smaller than it. But I dont think you should feed it live food too often because it makes the tank dirtier and you would have to clean it more often.

live brine shimp, blood worms, mosquito laeva, baby guppies, baby mosquito fish etc

the bigger the cichlid, the bigger the food it can eat

use to have some and they would eat the small goldfish..just put 2 in your tank and just wait to see what happens
