I am sure we are left baffled over certain stupid laws. Do you think we have some screwed up lawmakers in our country or respective states? If so, list one and the reason you think it is a joke.
For instance I saw a sign in a supermarket saying that if you are under 21 and caught with cigarettes you could lose your driver's license. is the U.S. Government (or state governments) getting too high and mighty?
(PS I hate seeing kids smoke (suck) and I don't do it either.)

Maybe you can still bring some sort of legal action against this town. Maybe contact the ACLU or something. They love to stick it to local/state/federal governments.
Or start a smear campaign against the officer who did this to you.
Get to know him and bug the very life out of him. Get him to confess.
they need to get it thru their thick skulls that they are servants and not lords. They also need to realize that this is America and not China.

Four silly laws in UT.. That aren't enforced, but they're there.
#1 It is illegal to walk down the street, carrying a voilin in a paper sack
#2 It's Illegal NOT to drink milk
#3 It's Illegal to spit on the sidewalk

In New Jersey, there is an extremely prejudice law that makes it so that if you are caught within a mile from a school and with drugs, you are automatically put away and given the worst punishment. Of course, schools in urban districts are flooded with minorities, so there are large concentrations of minorities living and working within a mile of a school zone.
Racist, maybe? I think so.

i think we have lots of stupid laws in the u.s. and i also think that our government runs our lives way too much to claim to be a free country...........and that crap about being innocent until proven guilty well thats just bs
in moffett oklahoma they pull people over for any thing or nothing at all
i was pulled over there just a month ago supposedly for a broken headlight and they charged me with dui...............no breathalizer was offered to me they left me in cuffs for over three hours waiting for get this someone to come and give me a GET THIS....blood test..........I DONT EVEN DRINK i finally was so miserable i signed the ticket although i wasnt under the influence of anything
they suspended my license on the spot WHICH IS TOTAL B.S.
ive hired a lawyer but he says the part where im screwed is signing the ticket
you sit in cuffs for 3 hours and see if youre not ready to sign it
so its highly unlikely ill get my license back without a bunch of money going to the bastards
not to mention what ive already spent on bail.........impound fees for my truck..........the lawyer..........id like to choke the **** out of the cop who did this to me

i live in a small town in wisconsin where there is a law against spitting on the sidwalk. But we can legally drink in the street. what a great country!!
The spitting law is not enforced.
