If you want to study habitat and environment, you can study "wildlife ecology" or "wildlife conservation". They're different names for the same thing. This will help you understand how global warming is affecting them.
On the other hand, you can also study "climatology" to study the effect of changing climate patterns and global warming on environment.
They're both closely related to each other, so you can study either one and they'll get you to the same place. It just depends on which you want to emphasize: environment or climate and global warming.
