If you had sex with someone and they told you later that they were HIV positive-as in, they knew at the time, and exposed you several times before telling you.

Okay, I was looking for a little more than just "Get tested", and yes, I know it is illegal. I know get tested. But would there be anything you would or COULD do??? How would it change you?

This happened to me. I had myself tested and continued to be in love with the other person. He caught pneumonia and his T cell count fell to below 200. I nursed him back to health and then I broke my leg and he went out dancing for three days without getting in touch with me. A couple of days later I was suddenly no longer in love with him. I quit him and was tested on three further occasions and each time came out negative.
So that's what I actually did in the circumstances.

I'm not sure. I might consult an attorney, or even press criminal charges, depending on the circumstances and the state I live in. Obviously I'd stop having sex with that person, and I'll go to a competent HIV clinic for testing and follow up.

Get tested for HIV first. Then take action against that person. Keep in mind that this could be your fault for not being responsible enough to ask. However, if you did ask this individual and they lied, then you got yourself a great case.

I would beat the crap out of the person, turn the person inthat is if they are still alive after I am done then go get tested. I will not go having sex all over the world if I do/don't test positive.

Get a blood test first. If it turns out you have HIV, in some countires you can sue the person for heaps of compensation & it is likely they will be put in jail, for being aware that they are giving it to you.

I would get legal advice, that person broke the law. It is ILLEGAL to expose your partner to HIV when you are aware that you have the virus. Contact your police station for advice and get yourself tested!!

very very bad thing. what can you do really? the anger won't fix it. get tested first. if you are positive report their *ss to health department because you can do that, then get on the meds and take care of yourself. if you test negative, thank god and hope you never see that person again.
